Laying under the stars of the gods
On the dewed grass and orange leaves of Autumn
I feel your arm wrapped around me
Warm, pumping with love's blood
While in a dream-like state I stare up into your eyes
Feeling myself lighten with happiness
I smile
A smile once so rare from my lips
Your beautiful brown eyes look down into mine
These arms around me whisper 'I'll never let go.'
I grip you tightly, as if the world could collapse around us
And I would not notice
A tear runs down my soft cheek
This tear is filled with feelings I've never experienced
Lasting love, happiness, and companionship
Our eyes still set on one another's as we comfortably lay in the
greenery
Hearts beating harder as we both dream of our future
Our love, our goals
All played out like a sheet of music
One note after another
Taking it's rythmic time to play it's symphony
I feel your loving hand carress my waist
Keeping me close
I see your beautiful red lips part to say,
'I love you,'
As I return the words of love I realise
This is who I want to be with
And this is who I never want to let go
The short time we've been together is
All we need
To let our love blossom like a rose in a garden.
