She looks up into the mirror,
and hates the face staring back at her.
Black tears run down her cheeks,
Why did she do it again?
She vowed she wouldn't,
She had promised him.
And yet there she sat on the bathroom floor,
Blood dripping from her wrist.

The scars on her body brought back memories,
Sad memories,
Things that she wanted to forget.
How she so longed to have those times back.

Now she has gone and done it again,
But this time she cut too deep.
Her life slowly fading away,
All she thought about was him.

She wanted to take it all back,
To go to a simpler time.
One little slip made all of her pain go away
It was that easy.

Her breath is growing slower now,
Her vision is starting to blur.
This is it,
Her pain will finally go away,
And this time it was for good.

She didn’t realize what she was giving up,
And all of the people she would hurt,
Until it was too late,
And she wasn’t getting another chance.
