Hypocrite

As the pin slides across her wrist,
She whinces in pain and looks away.
She never thought she'd end up this way.
A hypocrite now trying to be true at heart,
Confused with her newly made start.
The tears drip down each shedding a fear,
Wishing back the times of last year.
A long thin cut is left on her wrist,
As a sign of all the times she's missed.
A sign never to be made again.
A sign healed by the kindness of new friends.
Imagine this girl one day wishing her life away,
Then seeing she must live for the day.
Live in the now,
Live in the new,
Live for those friends that helped her make it through.
