so they say love is beautiful
so elegant and yet so pretty

but there i go finding its flaws
why its so utterly ugly
every love storys a fake
each couple has there hidden lies

he ruined every good tear
every depressing moment

he said smile dear dont you look down
be happy for me dont let me see you frown

and what was i going to do
turn down such a beautiful face
he knew what he was doing
each one of his evils he trimmed with such grace

heres your true love
or i meant a good heartache
he said be easy on yourself
telling all those lies

a good laugh will never be as good as a long cry
as purple will never be as pretty as pink
a gray sky will never turn blue

she needs a love story
it's her dream to come true
