I see the earth around me with her face alight
I see the sky above me dressed black with night
Silently they're sneaking soft kisses from Mars
They sit there just giggling at all of the stars
The night moves to caress earth from head to toe
Quietly he covers her all up with snow
And I stand here just wondering amidst it all
And I see the fog of the woods with her pall
I stand here watching snowflakes twirling as they fall
And the trees close in on me like wooden walls
And I love the winter and it's isolation
the cold of her solace and consolation
I don't care if the world falls around me in strife
I'm happy to have been a part of your life
I'm sorry that I couldn't always be there for you
I tried to always keep you warm and be true
But now I'm all alone with no one beside me
No one to shelter me from the cold tightly
All I care, the world could come apart at her seems
The snow's still drifting down around me like sweet dreams
I lay down and I gently drift off into sleep
Around me the snow keeps falling sure and deep
The wind swirls the snowflakes and through the trees whistles
Icicles everywhere, everything bristles
The snow falls around me and I'm slowly buried
No one calls out for me so off I'm carried
Into a nightmarish world of sleepless dreaming
I'm covered in the snow there's no air for screaming
Quietly the night bends down to kiss me goodnight
The earth tucks me into her coldest coat of white
She kisses and caresses me on the forehead
She turns and walks off as she leaves me for dead
When night ends and morning comes then she will find me
I will be laying on the snow peacefully
