skin deep
is as far as beauty shows
its only skin deep
but deep down the pain grows

growing stronger
as each day slowly passes by
tearing me apart
watching these veins run dry

opened scars
and a torn and wounded heart
time will pass
distnace no longer keeping us apart

memories intact
as if you're still here with me
mending slowly
contemplating the way things should be

smiling now
and seeing the images of your face
its only a dream
but it will always be my perfect place
