Let Go

You played your game so very well
You had me prisoner under your spell
Because of you I suffered another heartbreak
You pretended so very well, you were a fake
I knew deep inside, but your love blinded me
Kept me a prisoner, caged, I couldn't be free
You were my infactuation, my love, my life
Why'd you promise you'd make me your wife?
My love you abused, my heart you broke
They were all lies, every word you spoke
You sure got over me quite fast
Which showed me our love could never last
All that time I was too blind to see
Too busy playing make-believe
I'm so sick of being an option, just a choice
Can't you tell I'm hurting by the pain in my voice?
Together we were in heaven but we ended up in hell
And you even knew but refused to tell
So from me to you, I thought you should know
After all this I've learned to just let go
