She was always there but no one really noticed
She was just a regular girl-not gothic, or a prep or the cutest.
People walked right by her as if she wasn’t there
It was like she couldn’t get out of her worst nightmare.
That night she went home and sat on her bed.
She put pen to paper and wrote all the thoughts in her head.
“Dear Mom and Dad, Tonight is the night.
I don’t know if I can stand another second in this terrible life.
I'm going to take a knife and hold it tight.
I’ll push it into my stomach with all my might.
While I cry on the floor and watch myself bleed,
I’ll thank the God above I am finally Free.
I am free from all the lying and wishing I was dead.
I'm free from all the nights I spent crying in my bed.
I'm free from all the hate. I'm freed from all the fights.
No more will I spend my time wishing to die at night.
I love you Mom and Dad, I want you to know that I do.
You kept the fire burning, and all the “I love you's were true.”
Her parents found her the next morning with the note beside her.
They cried over her body until the sun became shyer.
