With a kiss could I make you mine?
Could I embrace you with my fingertips and walk the path of devastation at
your side?
Together could we seek release from the bondage of this nonexistent world?
If we cannot salvage our destinies then we’ll watch as all life’s meaning
falls to pieces

Can I collapse into your eyes with you and fall asleep inside your mind?
Lose myself within your grasp until all I perceive is you
Your perfection mixed with the image of your beautifully shattered soul
Can we lie in place and merely fade away, entwined?

With a kiss I’d like to make you mine.
But would you want to, could you ever be mine?
Merely glance at me, and I’m already yours.
