A little girl is at a hospital with her daddy.
She's crying miserably.
Her mommy was in a car accident and she wasnt looking to good.
Her father is telling her everything will be okay.
Just lay baby lay,
lay down and calm down.
hush baby dont make a sound.
The doctors were working on her mother in the operating room.
The poor little girl is doomed.
The teary eyed little is falling asleep.
Her mother's cuts were really deep.
Her daddy's eyes start to water as the little girl is sleeping.
The daddy thinks of all the memories he will be keeping.
Just then the mommy flatlined.
The doctor came running out and was being really kind.
The doctor said we did everything we could,
But we couldnt--
Im so sorry sir, she didnt make it.
You wouldnt believe what that daddy did that night after he got home and
tucked his little girl to sleep.
He took a knife to his throught and went in to deep.
That next day that little girl went to foster care.
But she promises that she will always remember what her daddy told her that
awful night.
She thinks she will always see the light.
Lay baby lay,
lay down and calm down
Hush baby dont make a sound.
