Tearing, snarling
This terrible darkness
Hungry and waiting
To devour me whole
Shredding, breaking
The mincing of my torn flesh
The crunch of bone between hungry fangs
Shadows watching
To leap and pounce
Upon my sleeping form
To tear my soul
From my wrecked and ravaged body
Blood, sprayed, splattered, dripping
Upon the floor
Puddles, lakes, oceans of red
The darkness is upon me
Fangs, bared and snapping
Always hungry
