You look into my eyes and see the pain
Your face turns to the floor
You know you brouhgt the hurt.
Another night of crying
I can't take it anymore
Another friendship that's dying
Can we make this last?
You say we need to work it out
But then you turn away-
You say that you'll call me
But then the phone never rings.
If we end, did this mean nothing?
All the trust I gave to you,
All the smiles, All the hugs
Will they be lost forever?
You showed me into a whole different world,
That October night,
I watched in amazement as
I realized how sheltered I was and it freightened me
But then you grabbed me and we sat in that room for hours
Talking about our lives and I felt protected,
You were there and nothing would happen-
The bass hit and my mind was altered
I smiled because you were there.
You opened me to this world
But now you're gone
One fight and now it's over
Or so it seems
Just know I'm always here for you
Even if you're not for me.
