Friendship Long Gone

I am not perfect.
I am not good looking.
I don't make straight A's.
I'm not great at cooking.

I wear glasses and braces,
I'm not very tall,
But you must remember,
Some of the best things are small.

I try to be kind,
It's something I enjoy.
Please be kind,
Feelings aren't a toy.

I am not popular,
I may never be,
But no matter how "uncool" I am,
Don't purposely hurt me.

What happened to be past?
We used to be friends.
What they say isn't true,
Friendships have ends.

What have I done to you,
Besides try to be kind?
Although you may not admit it,
There's nothing you'll find.

You don't have to like me,
You don't have to care,
But atleast be respectful,
We should all be treated fair.

Why can't you accept me?
What is it I've done?
I've searched for an answer,
But I have found none.

You don't have to look at me,
You don't have to smile,
But must you make fun?
Give me a break once in a while.

Tell me one good reason,
Why I should be treated this way,
And I'll let you be,
Nothing else will I say.

How can you judge?
You no longer know me.
All you know,
Is what you think you see.

They say friends are forever,
Well they are wrong.
Either we were never really friends,
Or friends don't last long.
