One Cold December Evening

One cold December evening
She walked alone
The leaves fell apart beneath her feet
As they carried her to roads unknown
One cold December evening
Her feet decided to run away
Nobody needed her
She had no reason to stay
Her coat was all the shelter she had
Snow blinded her way
She pitied every blade of grass
That could not run away
She had no need for things
But when push came to shove
The only thing she needed
Was a little bit of love
Her tears sat frozen on her cheeks
Her face a pale hue
Her tears had nothing but themselves
And they were lonely too
Her heart was so fragile; it could hardly stand
It had never felt the caress; of a loving hand
Nobody knew she had gone that day
And with the snow she was gone
As it melted away
Her heart finally died
And with time it went rotten
One cold December evening
She was simply forgotten
