Thuderclouds in Heaven

It's been silent here for so very long;
No one dares to speak of the one who fell back.
We all sit and stare, absent of our song -
Watching as the clouds turn black.

It's been quite a storm, quite a storm they say;
Waking in screams in a sweat of dismay.
It's rained without cease for 1000's of days.
It's been quite a storm, quite a storm they say...

I watch and I worry every time you stumble;
I fear you may not get up, or smile again.
I see in you walls not to be broken, crumble,
And when you look up at the sky, I'm smiling then.

And the storm's almost over, you'll dry off soon.
Under the clearing sky you'll be secure.
Walk the guilded path under the silv'ry moon,
And I'll find you there; no intentions impure.

It's been silent here for many weeks,
Waiting for a smile or glance now and then.
Love, above all else has forced none to speak;
--'Tis lonely here in heaven.
