Death Wedding

Your poisoned lips seal with a smile,
The gravedigger's voice upon us.
Our decayed hands rest in one another's.
Our sulken eyes try to cry,
All teared out by the death amongst us.
The vows spurt out of our deadly mouths one word after another.
I reach out to entrap your crusted lips over mine, sealing with a kiss.
The ceremony over, we lie down in our beds.
Everyone around to see our eternal love at last.
Wrapped in your arms as my eyes close for one last sleep,
Once again to never wake.
The truth becomes hidden under the beauty of our demise.
My beauty finally shines over and awakens the souls of the people.
Crying about the sad time, over our passing.
I could comfort them, but I won't.
We wanted this.
They're focused on the image of our slit wrists tied together,
When they should be focused on our death wedding.
Our love is so pure, not even suicide killed it.
