Her life seemed like a fairy tale
At least from far away
She seemed to be so happy
There was nothing more to say

She had great friends to be there
A great boyfriend too
Family loving her dearly
But none of this was true

Her life was filled with sadness
But noone ever knew
She hid the pain inside her
So she seemed happy to you

She wanted to be like everyone else
Getting drunk and getting high
But instead she hid behind an image
That image was a lie

But as she got older
her image faded away
a whole new person came about
someone more fun with more to say

she was happy for a little while
this new image won her fame
but one thing led to another
and her happiness turned to shame

she had become a different person
that who she was before
she had changed so much, got new friends
but she didn’t want this anymore

she wanted her old life back
with all her happiness and joy
not drugs, alcohol, and lies all the time
and not messing around with boys

so new she is trying
as you can see
to leave this new image
and just break free

just give her time to re-adjust
she’ll again be happy too
she’ll be a new person soon enough
someone different, someone new

shes keeping the new with the old
some of now, some of them
some of happiness and joy
some of sadness and sin

she soon will find a perfect place
just you wait and see mixed with some of everything
and how happy she will be
