“You Can Go Now”
Hello, love, are you out there?
are you hiding from me?
I am not one to be scared of
so hush now and stay awhile
I will turn the lights down
and speak in soft low tones
whisper in your ear
all the secrets that
you long to hear
we can stay just like this
forever talk to me by the window
all night through
until the sun light peeks its eyes
in-between the open blinds
throw soft yellow on the carpet
next to your pillow and locket
still got my picture sealed inside?
you still smile every single time
when I tell you that you’re beautiful
you’re beautiful
gaze up at me from way down there
resting and stroking back my hair
turn the volume on your stereo down
so I can sing to you so sweet
and take this all down in my mind
so I don’t lose it
when I try to write
what are you waiting for?
come with me my baby
the night is young and growing
the stars are softly glowing
and your heart is a flutter
I can feel it from here
way up perched on the rooftops
basking in the cool warm night air
I will wait here for an eternity
as long as I know that I can see you
at the end of my sentenced waiting time
hush now my dear my darling
I am right here and yours for the taking
let me follow you into the clear blue sky
you can play day to my night
I will wake you in time to bless
In time to bless this world with your light
then I will steal you into my grasp
and take away your beauty
I will keep it for myself
never let word out about you
I want you to myself
Hello, love, are you out here?
hush now I wont hurt you
but I’ll beg you to come with me
just for a day
see if you love me
then you can go
then you can go……..
