Confusion

When you look at me,
And have that wicked gleam
Flickering in your eyes,
Confusion.

When you whisper in my ear,
So that only I can hear,
Laughing softly, enjoying your torment,
Confusion.

When you reach for me,
Arms open, an embrace ensuing,
Silently asking for forgiveness,
Confusion.

Why do you look at me again?
Why do you speak to me again?
Why do you touch me?

That stare confuses me.
Your words confuse me.
Your touch misleads me.
Do you want me back?
