Never Let Go

There was a time when everything seemed okay.
But you told me one night things weren't what they seemed.
You couldn't let go.
Couldn't say goodbye.
Couldn't let the overwhelming tears flow.
I know how much she meant to you,
She meant just as much to me.
It wasn't fair,
How quickly she went.
How soon her demise did come.
But we all came together,
Helped each other through all the pain.
You always seemed to be the one helping.
Never were you letting us help you.
I know how you felt,
For I did the same thing.
But now you need help.
You have to let go.
In your eyes I can see all the pain taking over.
I can see a reflection of hell within your soul.
A hell that needs to be released before it's too late.
A hell that dwells within my own soul.
If we help each other,
we can make it through.
If we help each other,
Nothing will seem so bad.
Because if we don't work together to get rid of this pain,
Then everything will become so much worse.
Let me help you,
And I'll let you help me.
Things will never be alright,
If we never let go.
