as we're born
they cover our eyes
the dont let us see
the hurt and lies
as we grow
we start to see
more and more
but we wont believe
then the time comes
when it bursts through the wall
the truth of the world shows
when reality comes to call
we learn to hate
the unbearable pain
we learn of the suffering
that drives us insane
we try to take cover
lost in translucent lies
forget the deciet
and try to say goodbye
numbness floods in
we forget to feel
our final defence
is to forget whats real
we blame ourselves
when life is unfair
its always our fault
that no one will care
tears mix in blood
when these thoughts sink in
we're all alone in a world
that thrives on sin
lost in silence
are our echoed cries
they're sometimes the only way
we know we're alive
we were stripped of a life
so now we take our own
an escape from the pain
of being alone
