The days of sunlight in the air
A single cloud would linger there
I turned away and let it be
It started to catch up to me

Things were fine until the day
I found a place without the gray
It lay behind your loving eyes
The same I would grow to despise

For in your eyes I would believe
My sunshine I would finally leave
I followed you into this place
But glowing left without a trace

Deception? Well it must've been
The darkest clouds were rolling in
Though, the sunlight I could see
You were there, but what of me?

I went to leave the wretched place
And turned around to see your face
Pleading with me not to leave
Returning, so you wouldn't grieve

Until the day that I was gone
And in your world there was no dawn
Another plead, was it a lie?
Why did I feel I had to try?

This time you would take my hand
And show me to this perfect land
The sun was bright, but even more
There was a rainbow to adore

It couldn't be without the storm
And in your eyes it didn't form
This is ours and it is clear -
All that I could need is here
