Just A Rose

They say it's just a rose, but it's not just a rose to me.

Some people call it a flower, but a butterfly isn't a bee.

They say it's just a crush, but a crush involves less pain.

Those same people would pass up a rainbow to miss the sparkle of the rain.

They can only see your bad, your hidden in-perfections.

I must have broke the rules and wrote my own directions.

I don't only see your good- but prefect we are not meant to be.

Sometimes you have to travel deeper, not just go by what you see.

Not just go by what you're told, but go by your heart instead.

And if you don't follow your feelings, that rose will always be dead.
