The Perfect Kiss

Our heads lay next to each other
Your fingers lazily stroking my hair
My head turns to kiss your cheek
You meet me halfway there.
Hand drifts down my neck
Pulls me closer
Your lips are like velvet
Warm, luscious, so soft
Your tongue is like satin
Slippery, lacing the edges of my mouth
Sweet and tender
Full and consuming
You hold my hand while we lie there
You know how much I like that
Pull my fingers to your mouth
Lightly kiss my palm
And hold it again
Your eyes are open- sometimes.
Your mouth is closed- sometimes.
I feel the flush rising to my lips
And thank you for this so perfect kiss.
