On these stairs
which love of hate
Creates whirl-winds of forms and shapes that are strange to me
the heavenly father hangs on his wall
over his bed
watching me
Jesus
on the stairs
talk shows and comedy?s burst past the thin paper walls that divide me from
this picture
he lies
my man
below Jesus
and asks me to come in.
Myself on those stairs
Vixen
and purple from making no noise.
Withdrew.
Its not me and my sins that keep me away
or my red dress that creates my body so Un-Lady like.
But its this formula,
this come and go.
These stairs.
And your sister
kneeling before the wooden floor
chanting to Mary
or just anyone who will listen
and myself, still on the top stair
with Jesus,
and hours long.
Go away man!
