Our Love

In your living room
Lying on the couch
Knowing what will happen
We go through the same routine anyway.

Breathing heavy,
Whispering in your ear,
Tasting your skin,
Playing with your hair.

Listening for footsteps on the stairs,
Fumbling with your buttons,
Shivering,
Feeling the goose-bumps from you kissing my neck.

Hearing the tv babble for attention,
Releasing every gasp,
Every sigh,
Every moan that you make.

Telling you "I love you"
And meaning every word of it.
Hearing you say I'm amazing
Being assured you mean it.

Without caring
We continue our pre-marital bliss
We sink into the cushions
As I sink into you.
