If I died tomorrow, would you even care?
Yes, no, maybe so?
Just so you know, it really hurts
When you don’t seem to care about me
You say, “Of course I care”
But it always sounds so empty
It breaks my heart, but I try not to cry
So I cover up the hurt with all kinds of lies
I just try to act like everything’s fine
But the truth is tearing me up inside
Even if you do care, it sure doesn’t show
I just wish you would show me - I wish you would let me know
That although you may not show it, you really care a lot
And you really truly love me with all that you’ve got
But I really want to know, I really want it to show
That if the love is really there, you will prove to me that you care
So please promise me that tomorrow you’ll tell me the truth
And promise you’ll continue loving me, and I will love you too
