Brandon's Last Words

In bed by midnight
I dance within the moonlight
It's smile entranced me
She sat in silence next to me
Never thinking I would wake
But I see her
Under her breath
She recited the famous last words
"you never see me make the same mistake twice"
Closely she held my hand
It all just brought a crystal to her eyes
She broke down upon me
All I can do was watch above her
The stars sank as she grew into sorrow
Flowers bent for her despair
If only I can hold her again
Light would once again praise with her
And I would sit with her in company
But all I can do now is watch
Each day passes as well as I
I spared my life for another
And all I recieve is this
I didn't mean to hurt the one closest to me
It never occured to me I would break another's heart
I look down upon her wanting to go back
My heart weens to her embrace
But all I see is a straight line
And a long siren holds
I'm pulled higher
She's the one now left alone
She screams for the answers
All I can do is question
It's time to say goodbye
But I'll always regret
I never told her how much I loved her
I never gave her a chance to say goodbye
