If I Don't See You Tomorrow

Today I awoke,
Just the same as the rest
Forgot all about yesterday,
And started a new mess

I did all the normals,
Most everyone does
I wish I had lived life,
A little more because

The next thing I knew,
My phone was off the hook
I wept in my regret,
For the time I should've took

For the one and only person,
That was never told the truth,
I had the chance to say, I love you
as she stood behind the booth

She said, "Can I take your order"
I said, "All I want is you"
But that is not what really happened,
It's what I wanted to

I stand over her casket now,
I cannot see her eyes
The only things worth seeing again,
Holding power to suffice

My own life now,
I would gladly give,
To know that she would have,
Had more time to live

If only she had known,
If I had told her, the truth that day,
She would not have been there, in that moment,
to die in that terrible way

It is her I loved,
but never again
No more wishing and hoping,
For things that could have been

Cause I know times do change,
They obviously do now
So while you still can,
Tell everyone you love how

How much they really mean to you, and brighten up your day
How their three little words, seem to make everything okay

Cause when you wake up,
to live out your next day
They might not be around,
to hear what you need to say

I love you and I don't,
Ever want let you to go
I'm telling you this now,
cause I really want you to know

If you passed away tomorrow, Only sadness I would show
I would hold not one regret, Cause I already let you know

You'll be in my heart,
Away I won't let you fly
So if I don't see you tomorrow,
I've already said good-bye.
