She's being carried away
By a whirlpool of life
With battles around her-
And she gets carried away
And she runs
From him
He shouts out,
"I'll never leave you"
And with a single glance back
She disappears.
She has slipped into a world
Unknown to her wildest dreams
New life, new habits
New surroundings, a new smile
Dependant upon the world's view
Because it's all to foreign
To stand on her own.
Beneath each re-born sun
An adventure awaits her
And she is freed of her doubts
She can see the rules,
She has witnessed the pain
She knows roads to take
For once, she's sure
She has gained control
And below those leveled eyes,
She begins to loosen her fists.
Her laugh becomes famous
And her eyes always shine
She accepts the ways
Of every one she meets
Woven into the spotlight
With her embracing arms
So close they can hear her heart
But her heart remains a secret
And it's whispers still unheard
For they love her
But she knows not how to care.
Today she faces her enemy
The fear that haunts her soul
But she knows not how to care enough
To cast it's grip aside.
A raping of her beauty
And with a cold tear
She is cracked.
Tomorrow she will wake
And with a blink, she'll question life
And know she's weak to clench her fist
She'll wonder how she's survived.
She'll look around at smiles,
At people who adore
They see that she is perfect, but
She'll know something's gone wrong.
She'll drift through a day
Denying self-control
And with a desolate cry for answers
She'll feel empty, and destroyed.
Tomorrow she will know
That she's wandered from safety
For tomorrow, he'll whisper,
"I've never left you."
