The Knife

On a different wavelength
You've traveled so far
No one ever understands
Exactly who you are
Your frustrated dreams
Focus on a life
Although it seems
Begins and ends with the knife

Independantly your mind is stolen
The knife is the theif
Over and over your heart is broken
The knife is your relief
It takes you to a love
A love you've always known
But you want to escape
And in your mind you take the throne

You reach out your hand
Grasping the knife it makes you bleed
You bleed the blood of endless love
For something which you do not need
We watch you from a distance
You seem floating in the skys
Then you fall alone
When you looked in the his eyes

The eyes of the knife take hold
Of your beautiful flourescent mind
The story's old, your soul is bold
I know things will heal in time
Unwillingly the knife is stolen from your palm
Old scars still horrifically employed
We all recall the endless psalm
Of how by your favorite knife
You were destroyed
