The Real Illusion

Forever and for always
Thats what the people always say
When they think that they are deep in love
From which they cannot turn away

For months they're in a glittered bliss
Singing through the rain
Sheltered from the outside world
Hidden from the pain

And though we know love's an illusion
We tell ourselves that it is real
Because our minds have turned upon us
Because our hearts they long to feel

And when our hears are returned broken
Shattered shards upon the floor
You'll find us sweeping up the pieces
To love again once more.
