The shades of gray around her eyes were getting darker.
The circles were widening almost covering her now pale cheeks.
They noticed her pure smile being abruptly interrupted by a look of pain
But she didn’t know...
They would suddenly touch her forehead playfully as if they are just fooling
around,
When they would actually be trying to figure out how worse it was getting.
She would hear them sometimes whispering when she wasn’t paying attention
But she didn’t know...
She was getting weaker by the day, the minute or maybe second.
Her eyes were now as glassy as of a lifeless creature.
Walking slowly to a forever land, falling into a pit they called death
But she didn’t know...
She’d notice their frowns sometimes or even hear them cry at night.
She would listen so hard sometimes to hear her name being called to.
She asked herself a lot why suddenly pictures of her filled the place
But she didn’t know...
Her stomach would ache sometimes as she cries in pain.
Every bone of her body would hurt as if they were in a battle.
All her joints felt like they were falling apart that now she could hardly
move
But she didn’t know...
One day, she fell to the ground in pain, as loud screams started filling the
house.
Her family came rushing, then looked at her like they expected it all.
They shed tears of pain for their daughter that will soon become a memory of
beauty
While she had sudden flashbacks of all the whispers;
She wasn’t being paranoid after all, she realized.
As her eyes were closing,
Crying she held on to her parents,
Begging and pleasing, saying she doesn’t want to leave.
Tears of pain left their trace on her face
As she realized the truth.
She was living in denial.
A part of her knew but didn't want to ask,
For asking would remove all doubts.
And now she shall become the memory
Of beauty, happiness, smiles, pain...and tears.
Now she shall become the memory of the girl.....
.....who just didn’t want to know.
