Each Other's Halves

Lately I’ve been noticing that who I am is what you’ve made me
If I smile it’s because you caused it and then my laughter is eternity
I’m brittle to the thought that you’re only here for a while,
And if I ask you to stay you’ll wipe my tears with a smile

You know as well as I do that we are each other’s halves
In spite of what we go through and all the joking in our wraths
If I say ''I Love you'' will you
perhaps change your mind?
I know you have the patience, the want, enough to find...

To find out how much my need is, to hold you in my arms
How I can’t give up hearing, your cliché, yet funny charms

You’re a 'one and only' find,
Who of which I refuse to leave behind
So don’t go, and leave me here, for you to linger on my mind

If you walk away, guarantee I’m by your side
I don’t care if our trip becomes a long and tedious ride
I’m there with you, and vise versa too, that’s all we need to survive.
