These Wings Are Torn

Even though it's been two years
I cannot seem to dry these tears
Even though you've forgotten
I remember everything, even the rotten
Even though I stopped liking you
Seeing you makes me not know what to do
Even though you disgust me
You're the only face I could ever see

It's always been you
The thing I avoided proved to be true
It's never been anyone else
You're the only one who made me feel what I felt
I imagine what it would be like to be yours
Without you, these wings are torn

Sitting near you brought us closer
Imagine the pain I felt when you chose her
Although you seem happy
I can't help wondering if it could've been me
Would we have ever fit?
It's just a crush, I'll admit
I'm not exactly a beauty
But do you look past what you see?

It's always been you
The thing I avoided proved to be true
I've never wanted anyone else
You're the only one who could make me feel what I felt
I imagine my life if I were yours
Without you, these wings are torn
