You’re sound asleep
As the waves crash by
Lightly singing you a lullaby
You toss and turn
And I hear you breathe
I stare at you
Looking at your closed eyes
Wide awake
I’m still quietly singing
The wind blows in through the windows
Feeling the warm breeze on my face
This is how I want to feel the rest of my days
Seeing you right by my side
Listening to your steady heartbeat
Your mine to have and to hold
Waking up
Knowing that was one of my most precious dreams…
