There is one day I will always remember,
The 15th day of the month after September.
My sister's birthday, she's having twins,
Five months early, she's going into labor again.

As I sat at grandma's, I waited by the phone,
I picked up the reciever and said "Hello."
"Honey," mom told me, "they're not alright."
"They didn't make it to see the night."

I held the reciever and wondered why,
I cried out, "Why, God, why?"
Two precious lives ended so quick,
The clock didn't even have time to tick.

As I sit here, almost six years after,
I can almost hear their laughter.
I can still see those four darling eyes,
Do I still have a chance to say my goodbyes?

As I take them out of my prayer book,
I look at the photos the hospital took.
In them, you're battered and bruised,
Now, I'm just oh, so confused.

Brendan, Austin, I love you more than anything,
Each of you will always be my angel's wings.
