I've lost sight of your face
and it is so hard to tell its features anymore
You're a stranger, and I hate you.
I hate you because you've dug holes for me to fall into.
You're never strong for me, and it hurts.
I cry sometimes because your instability
Makes me question my own legitimacy.
So many places to go,
And not only do I have to go without you,
But I have to take the ugly parts with me,
Inside me,
To live and breathe and remind me of mistakes.
You are me, but you're someone else,
And I've always wanted for you to be my own.
You are not mine, but you mirror me and teach me
In so many ways I've lost count.
So I hate you, but I love you
Your strength reminds me only of my weakness.
