The Ritual of the Rising Sun

I watch the sun rise and fall,
as I sit with my back to a wall.

My life is at the bottom,
an addiction is what I feed.

Sometimes I've thought of ending it.
Then my favorite white powder strolls in.

My soul is lost every time I smoke this dreaded shit.
Why can't I just say no?

They told me that trying it once is just a joke,

It will consume you,
turn you into something your not.

I am a tweaker who cannot say no.
