Smiles are all you see
They're everything I apear to be
But beyond that smile
Lies a broken child
With tears streaming down my face
Hiding, dealing with the shame and disgrace of a past I cant replace
Memories I cant let go
Of sorrow
Of fear and anger
I thought with a few simple things
Make-up and new hair
I could let it go
and just forget
But it all just got thrown back in my face
No one knows whats wrong with me
So they all leave me be
To let my thoughts run wild
Of which way to twist the knife
