They said they were “Right Sizing”
Not realizing, they were compromising
The lives of my wife, my kids, and me
Taking a piece of my dignity

As a father I must provide
For my children and for my pride
Is it not my responsibility?
To provide for my family

My children, apples of my eye
Upon me, these kids rely
Daddy’s beautiful baby girls
The ones he promised the world

But now I cannot pay the bills
Because I lack experience and skills
Plenty of school on my resume
Helping little at the end of the day

But for you I will see this through
For my girls, the two of you
This is a promise Daddy will provide
For my girls, my wife, and pride
