A black raven
Sits on a window sill
Looking in a picture it never should have seen

A little girl sits on her bed
A picture in her hand
Tears falling down her pale face
Blood coming from her wrist

While the raven beging to whistle
The child sings along
"Daddy where have you gone"

Broken china lays on the kitchen floor
A mother
Wanting to be married no more

A man drives drunk
Racing down the road
and still the child sings
" Daddy where have you gone"

The raven flies off
And stares at the road and began to whistle
"dem dum"

The tellphone rings
Saying that he couldn't make it through
The child now sings
" Hes gone"
