He bowed his head
nt leting water fall from his eye
It was unheard of
to see a soldier cry

He boarded the aircraft
and kissed his family good bye
He took his seat on the plane
And set towards the sky

He fought fot the freedom
he would never recieve
But to give this peace
to you and me

As the days grew long
the calls were farther apart
as the wife was mournig
deep in her heart

she knew what had happened
she was quiet as could be
when they shiped his lifeless body
back across the sea.

The baby babies were crying
angels we watching from above
For the soldier who died
for the country he so ever loved
