There's so much on the line
And every single time
I look upon my bloody hands
I wish they were not mine

And if I end up dead
There's so much left unsaid
I don't think I can live this way
All these voices in my head

Laying in the garden
Of enemies and pardon
I close my eyes and hold my breath
The angels, I swear I saw them

So lock me in a cage
Built of bitter rage
Feed me flesh and lies of greed
The roses slowly age

I speak like I'm insane
I'm really just in pain
It clouds your thoughts and makes you scream
It deeply affects your brain

So hold me underwater
Abuse the eldest daughter
When they go back to their king
They can proudly say “we caught her”

So chase the distant smiles
Lost within some files
Take the test with bloody ink
Then walk away from trials

And when you reach the end
You've finally found a friend
Sew back up your bleeding wounds
And slowly start to mend
