A beauty queen is what you are.
You are beautiful inside and out.
With curlers in your hair
As you paint your nails,
You hum the sweetest melody.
To be the queen is what you crave.
You are the beauty in all of us.
Held up so high on your glass pedestal,
You will not fall with me here to catch you.
You dance in circles about the day.
You skip and leap though all the rain.
Wipe off your makeup you beautiful thing,
So we can see your beautiful skin.
You glisten through your worried sweat
As you dance with me in the pale moonlight.
I can see you cover up the scars,
Hiding so hard what you lack inside.
Put on some makeup so you can shine.
You radiate grace in your poise and posture.
You break the hearts of all the boys.
Yet you hurt inside and cry at night.
Through the dancing and singing,
Through the laughing and skipping,
You cry when your alone.
That way no one can see your makeup run.
Gushing streams down your cheek,
You are still full of splendor and grace,
Even if your black rivers of hurt
Wont seem to go away.
You don't have to hide with me by your side.
I will wipe off your mascara
And soak up your blood.
The beauty queen in you knows what is right.
So, don't try to fight the drama that follows.
Cause with your beauty,
They'll be dropping their jaws.
You are the beauty queen in all of us.
And your dark cloud of drama
Will always follow in your footsteps.
