Uncharted Territory

Like quicksand,
Dragging me down
Drowning in confusion,
Lost in illusion, intrusion
Electric infusion-
Fast paced and slow moving,
Like a freight train to nowhere
On and on and on
Ceaseless, breathless, endangered
Running on a path right down, down, down
That hole, swallowed whole
Like a pill, a drug, my fill
I dug, I dug, deep I dug
And I found nothing but the bones
Of an extinct civilization
Lost there, forgotten where
It fell, such a story to tell
If you’d only listen for
Just a moment, a moment of your time
A moment of your busy-time
Your now-time, your right now time-
Is it that hard to see
Where I am coming from,
I’m still coming from that path
I'm still walking, still talking
Still stalking, I’m walking
In circles-
I feel like I am walking in circles, here
And now I’m back, yes I am back
Right where I started
Again
Uncharted
