What words can do

She lives her life alone and cold
Never knowing what to do
Nothing but a failure to all of you
Strung out on crack
Hitting the bong all day long
Doing nothing but watching her life fly by
Never stoping to ask why
I saw so much in her
I knew all she could be
But the world beat her down
Saw her as worthless and reckless
Another drug addict teen
But to me she was more
My best friend
It turned I couldn't save her in the end
Mocked and picked on every day
She just gave up thinking she was nothing
Never going to soar
Not going to amount to any thing more
So she just kept hitting the bong and sniffing the rocks
Maybe if some one would have helped
Stoped the words that cut like a knife
Maybe she'd be here today
If people would have shut their mouth and left it that way.

*-* My best friend died of an over does because of what she heard. Because
the world gave up on her*-*
