In darkness

A world of darkness and fate.
An empty place,
nowhere to stand.
A feeling of being to late.
And no one there,
leaving an empty hand.

My mind is my sanctuary,
because only I know.
I can never convince you,
you can never see.

Time to time,
you give suspicion.
suspicion of your hand in mine.
I feel your presents,
but as the world is so dark,
I'm unable to prove your existence.

A world of darkness,
no light in view.
A light to shine,
to show you the truth,
and prove that you're there.

In my mind,
I hold the truth.
And within my truth,
lies my grounds.

My grounds are sanctuary,
giving me place to stand.
But still I'm unsteady,
with an empty hand.

In constant search of light.
While walking in doubt.
Yet trying to keep determination,
to live this out.

Walking along grounds of truth.
Without my ground,
I would fall into an empty darkness.

Yet I stand,
standing alone.
Knowing I can carry myself through this,
without holding on.
