Your Heart To My Gun

Say hello this time, not goodbye
The day is about to end
Another lost existence, mine I despise
-Forgotten by a "friend"
I spent my days like they were meaningless
Searched high and low
Broke my back carrying the weights
Being named a foe
But I'm desperately waving to nothing
Confused and always senseless
Still fighting a war that cannot be won
To love/hate is to be defenseless
And that's what this is, a mix of the two
In the battlefield of the heart
But in our little lives we're dead now
-Tore our lives apart
And this is where we end now
But sadness is the key
To let go of what we fought so much for
A little pain for free
But the cost of life for one love
That steals away my breath
Is the most crippling of anything
The price for love is death
So I sat chestdeep in memories unforgotten
Suffocating in dreams
Sewing up all of my battle wounds
But they loosened at the seams
Little thoughts and prayers slip out
Praying for my joy
The end result is a disappointment again
For my heart you destroy
You take advantage for this game you will win
A game of hit and run
You stab at every opportunity
Cheap shots for fun
You broke everything I ever had in my life
Took everything I had left
Told every single lie you could
Laughing while I wept
