She holds her breath and slowly counts to ten,
As the fair skin turns blue.
Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen, Fourteen,
She readies herself for something new.

Fifteen, Sixteen, Seventeen pass,
Under the water she goes.
Green eyes open to see their last image.
A pain pumps through her that no one knows.

A secret shall go untold as,
Eighteen, Nineteen, and Twenty go by.
Her heartbeat begins to slow down,
And she's ready to die.

Twenty-one, twenty-two,
Twenty-three, twenty-four.
Her body stops moving,
The water flows onto the floor.

So much un-said,
So many lies.
Twenty-five passes,
As this young girl dies.

Twenty-six comes,
And there it stays.
She's blue as death,
As peacefully in the water she lays.
